Come and join some like-minded people at Tilshead Knit Natters on the first Thursday of every month and bring your craft project with you.

Initially the meetings will be at TARA on Back Lane between 19:30 and 21:30 hours. If you would like to join in please contact us here beforehand or email knitnatters@tilsheadvillage.com so we can have a rough idea of numbers in advance.

See you there!

Tilshead Village Fete, 2nd June 2018

Written by   in

The Friends of Tilshead Church are organising the 2018 Tilshead Village Fete on Saturday 2nd June at Tylney House.

We are looking for stall holders and activity volunteers to make the event a big success. In addition to the traditional Bottle Stall, Bric-a-brac, Plants, Treasure Island, Skittle Alley etc, we are keen to add a few new attractions to appeal to the older children and teenagers: perhaps a Football or Hockey Penalty Competition or a Fly Casting Competition?

So if you have any cunning ideas and would like to run a stall or activity, or would be happy to get involved more generally, then please contact either Simon Bedford on 07969 569491 or Hilda Renshaw on 01980 621632 as soon as possible so we can make the plans for a great afternoon. We are also happy to make room for anyone who regularly runs a private stall (jewellery, cards etc) who would be happy to pay a pitch fee.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Congratulations All!

After paying for  the hire of the Hall,  the profit we made on the day was a marvellous £145.00.

In total including the money from the Go Fund me we are now over £200.00!!!

The plaque project is really up and running. Once again many thanks to everyone who supported the day.

What a cracking start with our first venture!

Winnie is definitely on the way back to Tilshead.

Bringing Winnie back to Tilshead Funding Campaign Launched

Written by   in

The first meeting of the ‘Winnie Committee’ was held last night.  A committee has been appointed and the fund raising campaign has been launched.  Some fundraising ideas have been discussed so watch this space for more details.

The hope is to raise enough money for a plaque to be erected on the wall of the village hall.

A GoFundMe site has been set up but cash and cheque donations are also welcome!
